We will try to give an objective assessment of each model, highlighting their advantages and disadvantages, and determine their relevance for solving specific problems.

Developed by the OpenAI team, the language model appears to be a versatile tool for solving a variety of tasks, from writing software code to addressing mental challenges. Thanks to its simple interface, ease of use, and support for the Ukrainian language, ChatGPT is an accessible platform that doesn't require specialized knowledge.

In addition to a free plan, the service also offers a paid version. ChatGPT Plus provides access to a more advanced language model, generates responses more quickly, and offers access to the latest plugins and extensions.

UI/UX

ChatGPT's interface is quite simple, comprising a field for entering a query and a chat block. Its resemblance to messenger apps makes it user-friendly and easy to engage with the language model. However, the design itself has its drawbacks. The main issues are the small font size and an unattractive style, which can adversely affect the user experience.

Functionality

A chatbot can provide information on request, answer questions, solve problems, and offer assistance in the form of textual content. Another strong feature of the chatbot is its ability to generate unique creative texts, such as social media posts and short stories. It comprehends context well, ensuring users receive natural and organic responses. If the answer doesn't meet your requirements, you can regenerate it. Additionally, the chatbot provides access to the history of your dialogues.

Restrictions

Despite the long list of advantages, ChatGPT also has some restrictions, particularly in the free version. The main limitations include:

• Access only to GPT3.5, a dataset 400 times smaller than GPT4 and including data only up to 2021.
• Limit on the number of characters in the answer.
• Restricted access to servers, which makes the user wait longer for a response.

Bard is a language model created by Google, the principle of which is not much different from ChatGPT. It also generates answers according to the query and understands the Ukrainian language. So what makes it special? Access to the search engine. This means that Bard can generate answers using the most up-to-date information it could find in a search. In addition, this resource currently does not have a paid plan, meaning that all users have equal access to the functionality.

Interface and user experience

When it comes to the interface, Bard is very similar to ChatGPT. It also imitates messenger communication, but its style is significantly different. Created in accordance with modern trends, the design of the resource is more attractive to the user, and the larger font size compared to ChatGPT has a positive impact on the user experience.

Bard has all the main features of the language model, including:

• generation of unique texts
• answers to questions
• full generation of an answer
• access to chat history.

Besides, the resource has additional features:

• several options for answering the query
• the answer in the form of a table can be immediately exported to GoogleSheets

As mentioned earlier, Bard was created by Google, but currently, it does not have access to user personal data. However, the language model does not rule out the possibility of obtaining such rights in the future, which could enable the chatbot to generate more personalized responses.

Limits

Найбільш вагомий ліміт який має Bard - це мала спроможність до написання дуже творчих або оригінальних текстів. Об'єм набору даних, на якому навчалася мовна модель, становить лише 1,56 ТБ, що значно менше в порівнянні до ChatGPT. Також чат може генерувати неправильні відповіді.
